III. WHAT THE FRAMEWORK ADDS
The [1=-1] framework makes S⁻ explicit.
Not discovering something new. Making visible what was always implicit.
Ramanujan's mock theta functions have a "shadow" — mathematicians spent 80 years trying to classify it. In 2002, Zwegers finally cracked it: the shadow is a correction term from the hidden phase.

1. Total reality is conserved. What decreases in S⁺ increases in S⁻. Nothing is lost. Nothing is gained. Only transformed. 2. The phases are coupled. You cannot change one without changing the other. They are bound by geometry. 3. The "hidden" is always there. When S⁺ is large (manifest reality is dominant), S⁻ is still present — just smaller. Oliver Heaviside reformulated Maxwell's equations. He kept the vector parts. He threw away the scalar parts.
